Wed. Feb. 1, 09:00-10:00: PTA General Meeting

Join us for our next PTA General Meeting. We will provide a PTA update, committee updates on upcoming events including the international festival and spring bazaar, fundraising ideas end of year event ideas, and volunteer opportunities. We hope to see you there. RSVP now



Mon. Feb. 6, 10:00-12:00: Clara Maria Cheese Farm & Clog Factory

We will participate in a cheese-making experience, clog-making demonstration, cheese tasting, and wonderful apple pie and tea/coffee. The farm also has a gift shop filled with hand-made cheeses, Dutch-themed items, and clogs available for personalization. The cost is 18.50€ RSVP now



Mon. Feb. 13, 09:00-12:00: Clay Earring Workshop

This Valentine's Day, treat yourself with handmade clay earrings. Eli, from Spiegel Clay, will teach us how to make beautiful, one-of-a-kind, heart-shaped earrings. You’ll be able to choose from two designs, different color clays, and either gold or silver-colored metal findings. The cost is 36€ RSVP now




Wed. Feb. 15, 18:00-20:00: Wine and Cheese Tasting

Join us for an evening of wine tasting with cheese at Marius Wijnwinkel Wassenaar. We will meet at Marius Wijnwinkel to enjoy wine, cheese, and friends. During the event, we will taste six different wines, paired with various kinds of cheese. The cost is 32.50€ per person. RSVP now

International Festival

Help us make the 2023 ASH International Festival a success. The event will be held on March 25, 2023, and many volunteers are needed to help make it happen. Sign up here to help. Community Events

Wassenaar Bicycle Light Parade: The second Wassenaar Bicycle Light Parade will be held on Thurs. Feb. 2. Young and old are invited to this free event. Starting at 16:30, participants should gather with their ‘lit bicycle’ at the Van Heeckerenhuis, Van Heeckerenstraat 2. Pancakes will be available, and then at 17:45, the procession will leave, along with live music, traveling through the village center towards Oostdorp, including through the Langstraat and around the Dorpskerk. Bring a cup from home for hot chocolate, provided during a stop at the St. Jozefschool on Thorbeckestraat. The parade will return to the starting point at 19:00 for the awards presentation. Adult Volleyball League: Calling all volleyball enthusiasts! Please join us for adult volleyball at ASH. All parents and staff are welcome to play. We meet every Monday night when school is in session from 18:45-20:30. Questions? Email bonnieblakeney@gmail.com.






Monday Clay Club: This seven-week series of after-school classes, held from 16:00-17:15 beginning Feb. 6, will offer students in grades 3-5 the chance to make decorative and functional pottery - plates, cups, planters, or other useful ceramics. Students will be guided through projects using demos, instruction, and templates (as needed), and will be taught building techniques like pinching, coil-building, and slab-building. Students will also get to glaze their work. The class fee includes all materials including clay, tools, work boards, and kiln firings, as well as a wide selection of glazes that the students will choose and use for glazing. Drawing Club with Ms. Molina: Is drawing your Passion? Do you want to get better? The Drawing Club will give you tips and tricks to improve your drawings, learn new strategies, and expand your understanding of drawing. Each week you will have a new challenge to solve, you will work on it in class and perfect it as you go. Black pens, charcoal, Ink, and watercolor will all be part of your drawing experience. Classes will be held on Mondays, starting Feb. 6 from 16:00-17:00, and are open to middle school students. Contact Ms. Molina with questions or to register.
