Community Events
Basketball Clinic The Hague: Since 1992, Basketball Clinic The Hague has been offering training on basketball fundamentals to beginner and intermediate/ advanced players, along with those looking to play more competitively. They pride themselves on offering a great experience, excellent training, lots of action, and massive amounts of fun! Coaches have experience in both playing basketball and training kids of all levels. For more information.
Open Monument Day: Sat. Sept. 9 - Various monuments in Wassenaar are freely accessible between 11:00 and 16:00. These include windmill Windlust, the garden of the Baljuwhuis, Council House De Paauw, Bunkercomplex Rijksdorp, the Hertenhuisje and Farm Raaphorst. There will be a special cycling route.
The day will open at 10:30 on the Evenementplein (corner of Langstraat/Achterweg/Van Hogendorpstraat). Monument Day is organized by Rotary Club Wassenaar and Historical Association Oud Wassenaer.
Filmhuis Wassenaar: Tues. Sept. 12 - It’s Barbie Night! This special event includes a welcome drink, a viewing of the newly released Barbie Movie, and a drink and snacks during intermission. The welcome drink begins at 19:30, and the film begins at 20:00. Movie is in English with Dutch subtitles. The event is €17.00 (library members receive a €1 discount.)
Dutch absolute beginners (level 0 to A1-) - Thursday 10:00 - 12:00, starting Sept.14 Dutch beginners+ (level A1- to A1) (continuation of absolute beginners' course that ended in April) - Wednesday 10:00 - 12:00, starting Sept. 13.
