Thank you to everyone who got up on a beautiful, sunny, first day of spring to participate in our first-ever virtual International Festival on March 20! Nearly 50 ASH families logged on for the live country basket raffle on Saturday morning to see if they held a winning ticket, and more than 20 families joined online for the live flag bingo event. Congratulations to all our *winners, and a huge thank-you to the National Honor Society students who did a fantastic job hosting those live web events!

You'll have access to interesting country facts, videos created by ASH students, and even recipes to continue a festival of flavors in your kitchen! For your convenience, we've collected all the recipes in a downloadable file so you can have your very own culinary souvenir to remember your virtual travels.
The PTO would like to thank the International Festival planning committee for all the work that went into adapting this year's event for online delivery during challenging times: Alexander Barash, committee chair; Jean Callender, International Parent Ambassadors and country baskets coordinator; Vicki Johnston, website designer; Suzanne Perl, Spirit Wear Store bingo prizes and logistical support; Nancy Schwarz, flag display coordinator; Mindy O'Bannon, publicity; Beatriz Hotz, logo design; National Honor Society students, video production and live hosting; and all the International Parent Ambassadors and other parent volunteers who provided and assembled 24 beautiful country baskets for the raffle, as well as contributed recipes for the online cookbook and country webpages. Many thanks, also, to ASH External Relations staff, grade-division principals and their administrative teams, and Dr. Courtney Lowe for their help in publicizing and supporting this event.
